Qualifications

 

When you get an APPLEGATE Inspection you are hiring a qualified, experienced home inspector who is an extensive knowledge of Real Estate from the Construction and Appraisal side of the business.

 

Randy Applegate was a Class A licensed contractor for 10 years in the Washington D.C. Area performing work on projects that included expansion to Regan International Airport, Tysons Corner Remodeling, Union Station Remodeling, Several Hotel sites and hundreds of residential projects.  Additionally Randy has been a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser, and Home Inspector since 1998.

 

I make every effort to conduct the most thorough inspection possible.  All of our inspectors are equipped with the right tools.  They use a moisture meter, carbon monoxide testers and combustable gas leak detectors, and have been trained to make the most of the information these tools yield.

 

APPLEGATE Approved Inspectors:

• Have passed all 12 Certification Exams required from NACHI

• Have a background in construction

• Successfully completed a stringent Inspections technical assessment tests

• Passed drug and background searches, including criminal and reference checks

• Carry liability insurances

• Have completed a minimum of 25 inspections and/or 5 years experience in the industry

• Continuously receive and attend training and workshops

• Are members of a major associations, such as the the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI)
